Feet are commonly ignored. If health of feet is ignored for long then it may even lead to need of limb amputation. But for those with foot fetish here are some simple tips to take care of your feet in the comfort of your home. To get beautiful feet you do not necessarily have to go to a parlor.Cracked Feet
Cracked feet are a common problem and occur usually because of use of wrong footwear. It may also occur because of strong medication as used for treatment of thyroid related problems.
Warm a candle wax and pour the warm candle into the cracks. It will not hurt any more than a pinch of a pin. Do this remedy before going to sleep. Remember to cover your feet by wearing thin cotton socks.
You also apply clarified butter to the cracks. The butter contains saturated fats and other dissolved nutrients which will heal the cracks fast.
Choose footwear that are closed at the ankle end. Those who walk a lot must wear shoes. Keep feet clean. Dirty feet easily get cracked.
Dark Feet
Too much of sun exposure may leave your feet looking like a crow`s skin. Wash your feet well. Use an old tooth brush to gently clean the upper and lower foot thoroughly. Pat dry and massage the feet with mixture of mashed banana and lemon juice. Keep for 20 to 30 minutes then wash with water. Apply some moisturizer.
You may even apply liberal amounts of honey and scrub the feet using lemon peels. Scrub well for 10 to 15 minutes. Wash with water. No need to apply moisturizer. The feet will become soft and smooth.
Tired Feet
By the end of the day feet are exhausted, especially if you use heels, stand for long hours or walk a lot.
Simply soak your feet in warm water in which Epsom salt has been dissolved. If Epsom salt is not available then add a few drops of your shampoo. Using pumice stone scrub off the dirt from the feet.
Massage the feet with mixture of mashed papaya (or banana) and olive oil. Rinse with cold water and pat dry. You will feel that circulation in your feet has improved significantly.
