Face Masks at Home
June 8, 2009
The world we live in today is full of pollution, where we are ready to breath polluted air but do not take any efforts to reduce it. The harmful gases and chemicals present in the environment harm our health, especially our skin as it is primarily exposed to the pollution. For this reason, it is very essential to take proper care of our skin. It is said that face is the mirror of a persons’ overall well being; meaning that the face shows whether a person is healthy or not. Therefore every individual should take proper care of their face.
Women are more prone to skin problems than men as their skin is more sensitive and hence they must take good care of their face to maintain its glow and shine. There are many skin creams, lotions, soaps, scrubbers, etc. available in the market that claims to make your facial skin more radiant and smooth. But not all of them can be trusted for their claims. While some of them might contain chemicals, others might not suit your skin because of your skin type. In such a condition, it is better to go for natural and herbal face masks that can be easily prepared at home – for all skin types.
For women with a dry skin can prepare and apply a simple face mask. Mix one egg yolk with one spoon of honey and olive oil each and apply this solution to the face. Let it stand for 15 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water. Women having oily skin can apply milk of magnesia on their face for about 30 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water. This will be very effective as it will absorb all the oil and cleanse the skin pores of the face. Those with a normal skin can prepare a mask consisting of one egg yolk and a small amount of cooked oatmeal.
As more and more people are aligning towards herbal remedies, these face masks can be very helpful. These face masks are easy to prepare as the required ingredients are commonly found in our kitchen. They are as effective as any other beauty product and can save your money giving excellent results.
