Eyebrow Threading At Home
Threading of the eyebrows is a simpler technique than waxing and many women report to feel less pain than that during waxing. It is the process in which the hair is lifted out of the follicles using a cotton thread.
Since the hair are rooted-up in a precise manner threading lasts much longer than waxing.
Procedure
You will need a few things to get started. A face powder, a pair of scissors, toner, 100% cotton thread and cotton. Clean the face so. Pat some face powder on the eye brows. This will make it easier for the threat to lift the hair effectively. Break the thread of about 30 cm length and tie the ends.
Hold the thread in your hands making 4-5 turn on the thread with clockwise movement of your hands. Place the left end of the turns on the area where hair is to be removed. Hold the hair from a little above their root. Lift the hair by moving thread in the left direction as you expand your right hand.
It may take a little time to get used to the thread. But once the habit is formed it is just an act of 5- 10 minutes. You may use scissors to trim lengthy eyebrows. Once done, gently apply some toner to tighten the pores. Do not use soap or any strong chemicals for at least 2 hours after threading.
Things to Remember
If you are getting your eyebrows done for the first time it is important to chose the right person to do the job. One standard rule that is followed is that the side end of the nose and the upper starting of the eyes brows should be in one line.
Also, the end of the arch shape of the eyebrow and the nose tip, measured though the cheek(using a long pencil), should be in symmetry. Let a little growth come before you get your eye brows done once again. Leave a gap for at least 7 days between two consecutive sessions of threading. Always use a toner. This will prevent loosening of the skin around the eyes.
Threading is a safer option to razor and waxing. The hairs that come after threading are similar in thickness as before contrary to use of razor.
