Being over weight is the most common problem seen today due to sedentary lifestyle and wrong eating habits. When one eats more calories than required and do not burn them by doing exercise then these extra calories get stored in the body as fat and because of this storage one becomes overweight.

You should know how much calorie you have to eat in a day. So every time you eat something know its calorie content.
Never eat at a stretch. Take small meals at intervals of three to four hours as this habit helps to maintain weight and works as an aid in diabetes also.
Do not skip meals, especially breakfast as it starts your metabolism. When you skip a meal you become more hungry and even more when you start eating. Take a heavy breakfast so that you can skip lunch. In lunch have fruits or salads.
Drink water up to six liters a day. It helps to reduce weight in many ways. Whenever you feel hungry try to drink water before eating. By doing this, you would definitely eat less.
Eat products with fewer calories like fruits, vegetables, whole grains etc. Foods rich in fiber will keep you full longer and this would keep a check on your weight.
Walking and exercise play a very important role in losing weight. 30-40 minutes of walking or exercising is very important to lose as well as maintain weight, which is generally very tough.
Some home tips can also be implemented to stay fit. Before going to sleep at night have a glass of warm water with honey in it which will help you losing a bit within few days.
