Physical fitness and mental stability form foundation of a good heath. In order to improve your health you will need to strike a balance between these two. The tips written below will definitely help you achieve the same.

Sleep well:

A good sleep will help your body regain strength, refresh your mind, relax eye muscles and will work as an anti-aging process in itself. Due to the anti-aging process and revitalization, sleep also helps in prevention of diseases such as Alzheimer`s disease, chronic depression and cancer.

Hence, make attempt to get undisturbed sleep every day. Drink a warm glass of milk, take a bath and fall asleep immediately, have a good session of love-making at night, leave work about 1 hour before going to bed.

Drink Water:

Drinking about 2 to 5 L of water everyday will save you from constipation, provide better looking skin due to detoxification and keeps body hydrated, and hence maintains proper functioning of all vital organs.

Drink about 2- 3 glasses of water when you wake up in the morning. Avoid drinking water 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after the meals. This does not make you feel bloated and help in better digestion and absorption of the nutrients.

Drinking healthy fluids such as fresh juices and herbal teas can improve hydration. But consumption of artificially flavored and sweetened drinks increase craving of water by the body. Hence, water can never be replaced by these fluids.

Physical and Mental Exercises:

Games such as chess, scrabble, Sudoko and other form of puzzles are great for mental fitness. Games like these help in keeping mind alert and also aids in improving memory.

If there is hardly any time for workout then you can always find new ways to keep yourself fit. Park your car a little away from your office and walk to it. Choose stairs to lift. Exercises can even be done while sitting in the office on the chair.

Positive Attitude:

Developing an optimistic approach to life will clearly help solve problems in a better way. It prevents piling up of stress and thus provides protection against stress related problems like ADHD, bipolar disorder, PMS, high blood pressure, lack of sleep, etc.

Positive attitude can be developed through repetition of positive affirmation, meditation motivational reading.
