Easy Daily Eye Exercises
One of the biggest cons of the computer age is the effect on the eyes. Eyes are as precious as they should be yet most of us skip the much needed care these organs need on daily basis. This may lead to weak eye sight, blur vision, stressed eyes (unable to view things with comfort), sensitivity towards light, etc.
Therefore, committing a few minutes to your eyes will keep most of the troubles away. Here are some very easy eye exercises that can be performed any time and any where. But make sure you have removed your contact lenses and spectacles before performing these exercises. Also, make sure that people sitting near you know what you are up to or else wrong impression may get developed.
Rub the palms of your hands together to produce heat. Apply this heat to the eyes. Do this as frequently as you can, especially during working hours on computer. This exercise will make blood circulation in eyes better. Also, it will make the muscles relax.
The next exercise is to close your eyes tightly for 5 seconds and then open them wide immediately. Do this 10-15 times. This exercise helps the eye muscles to stretch well, like some warm up exercise.
Place first three fingers of your hands on to the respective eyes and press gently for 2 seconds. Release, and then do it again at least 10 to 15 times.
Hold a pencil in your hand such that the tip points upwards, the arm held out straight in front so that the view of the tip of the pencil is in line with the eye view. Keep the focus on the pencil tip and move the arm in right direction such that the eye follows the path of the pencil tip. Do this to the left side. Repeat it 8 to 10 times or as comfortable to you.
One interesting eye exercise is to imagine that you are facing a big wall clock. Now, look at the centre of the clock and then look at any hour mark on the clock. Do this 10- 12 times. Also, you may do this exercise by keeping eyes closed.
