Doing Facials At Home
Performing facials at home is an easy task provided you have ample time. Facials massage help in improves circulation of blood on the facial muscles and helps them relax. Regular facial, help in preventing settling of fine lines and wrinkles on the face. You may do the facial once a month for best results. Here is the procedure.
Keep all things that you will need near you so that you do not have to rush from one room to another. It is best to maintain a facial kit bag and place all your necessary items in it. In the kit bag you must put a skin cleanser, exfoliator, skin toner and cotton balls. Apart from these, you will need a clean towel, lukewarm water and a tea bag. You may choose to prepare a skin mask at home or stick to ready made preparations of face masks.
To start, clean your face. You may wash it with a gentle face wash or can apply skin cleanser (for example cleansing milk) in circular motion to the entire face and neck region. Wipe off with a cotton ball.
Apply an exfoliate in circular motion to the face. You may also use your regular scrub but make sure it is effective enough to open the pores. Rinse your face with water or wipe it off with a wet cotton ball.
Next step is to take steam. Place boiling water in a bowl. Place your face about one foot away from the bowl and place a towel over your head such that the rising steam is only directed at your face. Remain in the steam for 15 minutes.
The steam will remove most of the black and white heads. But in case you see any more then remove then using your nails. But be gentle. Do not peel any pimple. Apply skin toner using spray or with a cotton ball.
Next step is to choose a face mask according to your skin type. Sandalwood face pack works for all skin types. Orange and lemon peels for the oily skin and egg white with honey face packs work well for dry skin. Sip some herbal drink while it dries. Wash off with fresh water.
