Dark Circle Care
Working for hours together on computer is the most common cause of dark circles in today`s age. The stress caused to the eyes is not well compensated with nutritious diet (hardly any time) or eye tonics. But the problem of regular dark circles may be due to many more factors than just this.
Causes
Dark circles are more common in people with a relatively transparent skin. It is often an inherited factor. When there is not enough blood circulation in the eye region, the blood flowing in the underlying skin may appear bluish and hence appear as dark circle. Having dark circles could be a genetic trouble.
It is common during pregnancy due to physical stress. The skin tends to become pale. A similar thing happens during menstruation. Hence, try to take ample rest during those days of the month. Taking vitamin E and A supplementation may help.
Any skin infection (example eczema), excess sun exposure and strong medications may also be responsible for frequent dark circles.
Remedies
Do not dispose of tea bags after use, especially the herbal tea bags. Keep them in refrigerator. Apply on the eyes for 10 to 15 minutes. This remedy improves circulation of the eyes and removes the dark circles.
Try palming. Rub your hands in order to generate enough warmth due to friction. Apply this on your eyes. Do this 10-15 times a day. This will improve circulation and prevent occurrence of dark circles because of tiredness. Every hour regularly blink your eyes for several seconds.
Crush nutmeg and prepare a paste with milk. Apply it on your eyes. It is an effective remedy for dark circles. Daily massage of sweet almond oil around eyes gradually reduces dark circles and wrinkles around the eyes.
Soak cotton pads in rose water. Place them on eyes for 10-15 minutes. Crush cucumbers and potatoes to get juice. Store it in refrigerator. Apply twice daily to the eyelids. Wash off with fresh water.
Prepare a thick paste using lentils (grind them), lemon juice and tomato juice. Apply and allow it to dry partly. Wash off with water. Do not let it dry completely because skin under the eye is sensitive to wrinkle formation.
