Daily Dental Care
Tooth care is something people generally do not take seriously. Until they suffer from a dental problem such as tooth pain, a swollen gum or tooth decay people really do not bother much. But by spending a couple of minutes for caring of your teeth you can actually save a lot of money on your dentist bill.
Brushing Your Teeth
There are a couple of things you need to know about brushing your teeth. If you brush your teeth every night after dinner and then do not have anything thereafter then you do not need to brush your teeth right after when you get up. You may probably just swish and that should deal with your bad breath. Then, you should brush after having your breakfast.
Always take a peanut sized tooth paste to brush your teeth, neither less than this nor more than that. Use medicated toothpaste if you are having any gum or tooth ache problems. Otherwise, a good fluorinated tooth paste for daily use.
Use Stick Often
If you have a habit of sticking something inside your gum or between your teeth then you must learn to use a tooth stick after your meals and do flossing once every fortnight. Too much flossing is not a good idea.
Regular use of Water
After eating your meals try to wash your mouth with water. Water cleans your palate and tongue so you should drink it more often.
Dealing with Yellow Marks
There are certain foods that stain your teeth more than others and you should avoid them if you are having yellow teeth you should try to avoid foods such as berries, red wine, tobacco, tea, coffee, soya sauce and cold drinks. Use less coloring agents such as turmeric while cooking food.
There are several dental chewing gums which help in reducing of yellow stains. Chew on them after your meals.
Taking care of the teeth in your daily life will save you from losing teeth and getting a root canal in the future. Tried and tested home remedies are good but if they do not working then do not postpone things and visit your dentist immediately.
