At night apply moisturizer and wait for a few minutes then re-apply the moisturizer. Oil bath treatment is also a good option. Oil bath will not feel very clean as you feel with the water bath but it is recommended for dry hands.
Always wear gloves to prevent your hands from damaging rays of sun. You may also wear gloves while washing dishes. Wear cotton gloves underneath rubber gloves. Never wear only rubber gloves. The rubber does not let the skin breath and creates more friction. Also, if the cotton gloves become wet then change them within 20 minutes.
Mix few drops of glycerin with few drops of lemon essential oil. Massage it onto hands at bedtime. This remedy will make hands fairer and softer.
Cooking margarine is an excellent remedy for chapped hands. Take a little quantity and rub it well on your hands. This way it will not feel greasy. Likewise you can use small quantities of lanolin, cocoa butter or light mineral oil.
Use uncooked porridge to make a fine powder. Rub this powder on your hands by placing it in large bowl. This will remove the dead skin of the hands. Soak hands for 20 minutes in a bowl which contains oil-water mixture. Dry your hands and apply a little olive oil as a moisturizer.
