Care During Menstruation
If you would live for 3000 days, then you might spend 2000 days of these mensturating. On commencement of puberty, when periods start, girls must be educated about this natural monthly
process for it is going to have direct affect on their physical and mental well being.
Those with irregular menses or extremely painful periods must get their treatment from a  gynecologist. A little care and some counted precaution during these days may let these days be just like any other days. Here is what you need to do.
Firstly, drink lots of water; even if it means frequent urination. As soon as you feel your pad wet simply get into the habit of changing it there and then. This will save you from most skin troubles in that area, especially infection.
You are only exempted to do vigorous exercises. Some form of exercises can actually make you feel a lot better during periods. For example, breathing exercises. Sit down with knees folded and legs crossed. Close your eyes and do deep breathing for at least 10 minutes.
This will increase exchange of more oxygen in your body to carbon dioxide, hence providing you a feel good factor. Our may also do Sky stretching exercises. For this you may stretch yourself towards sky, hands placed against each other upwards. Go for long slow walks.
This will bring all uneasiness in stomach to rest. A 20-30 mins slow walks is sufficient. If breast tenderness occurs, try wearing cotton bars. Cotton bras are actually a necessity when the temperature is hot and humid. One must also eat less salt and drink more water. This will let the body to lose water through urination and decrease tenderness in breast.
If the long walk cannot help the stomach cramps then simply have a gentle massage with sesame
seed oil on the abdomen. Placing a hot bottle below the abdomen may also do the trick.
