Breast Care Tips
Caring for the breasts is the key to prevent your breasts from common problems like breast pain, sagging, abnormal discharge and breast cancer. Here is what you need to know.Right Support
Choose the right bra for your breasts. It should neither be loose nor tight. It should be firm and should fit you as per your natural shape. Always remove your bra before sleeping. Avoid wearing an under wire bra often. Regular use of this type of support will cause breast sagging.
Always use cotton material. If your weight keeps fluctuating then use a bra which you can alter by changing length of the strings.
Supplementation
Supplementation with vitamin E, B1 and B6 are considered useful for optimal health of the breasts. These are helpful in reducing discomfort in breasts due to PMS and during breast feeding.
Things to Avoid
Reduce intake of excess fat in your diet because excess fat stimulates release of estrogen. The hormone makes the breast pain worse. Additionally, it increases the size of the breasts. Switch to low-fat products and eat foods which are fat burners.
Role of caffeine in causing discomfort to the breasts is controversial. Yet, many studies support that reducing caffeine in the diet helps in reducing breast discomfort.
Quit smoking. Needless to say, it has potent carcinogens to harm the breast tissues.
Top Foods for Breasts
Citrus foods such as oranges, lemon and grapes are rich in flavonoids and carotenoids. These are powerful antioxidants which boost immunity and safe guard breast against cancer.
Likewise, berries such as blueberries, raspberries and strawberries are high in antioxidant content. Eat them often in between your meals.
For healthy cells, eat green leafy and yellow-orange vegetables like kale, spinach, carrots, peppers and Swiss chard.
Sulphur is necessary for healthy blood vessels. Onions and garlic are a good source of sulphur.
Gentle Massage
Once a month, take body oil and massage the breasts in upward and inward strokes. Evening Prime rose oil is a good option because of its gamma linoleic acid content. You may even choose from virgin olive oil, sweet almond oil or coconut oil.
Self Examination
Look yourself naked in the mirror to check for any patches, discoloration or marks. If you find any, consult your doctor immediately.
