Bone Trouble and Care

April 23, 2009

The natural bone structure is complete by the early twenties. Therefore it becomes very important to let bones to develop strong during initial years. The bone injuries will be able to heal faster if you are younger but can trouble you once your age proceeds.  Many a times, an injury healed during young years may show pain after 10 years again.  This  shows that complete care was not taken of the bone at that time.

The most common troubles of bones include osteoporosis and arthritis. Osteoporosis is a disease referred to development of “porous bones”. The bone mass of the bones is low and the bone tissue starts to deteriorate. Due to osteoporosis, the pateinst becomes more prone to develop serious fractures of hips, wrist and spine.

Anyone can develop osteoporosis. But some people are more at risk to develop this life disturbing problem.  If you are a female, you are automatically at high risk. Women who have passed their menopause are also at high risk. These days many young females are falling in trap for pre menstrual symptoms. Such women tend to develop weak bones due to excess physical and mental stress. Also, there is so much mineral loss from the body due to bleeding. Women with PMS history must get their bone mass density index check yearly. This will help in preventing osteoporosis in future.

Those who have low calcium intake in diet will always have a risk for development of osteoporosis. Being physically inactive and being shorter in body structure are yet other factors which increase the risk.

Make some serious changes in your life style to do favor to yourself. Eat almonds nuts. Eat calcium fortified foods. These are tofu, soya drinks brown and cereals. Include green leafy vegetables like broccoli and cabbage to improve your immunity. Try to include low fat dairy in your daily diets. These include cheese, yogurt and low fat milk.
