Body Wrap At Home

Body wraps are easy and fun way to beautify the body. Although they are messy and detailing is required, the procedure can be performed at the comfort of your home.

At Home

Before one starts with body wrap treatment make sure one is drinking enough fluids. It is important to drink plenty of water or herbal drinks before (2-3 days before the treatment), during and after (until 48 hours) the process.

Place two thin plastic sheets on the massage table. Below these sheets place a blanket. Take a warm shower. Pat yourself dry. Wear a disposable bra and underwear. Lay down on your chest on the massage table.

Starting from the left feet, Epsom salt is rubbed with pressure on the body. Gradually move upwards. When back and arms are scrubbed well take a turn and lay on your back. Once again, start from the legs and gradually move upwards.

On the stomach area, rub the salt in clockwise manner. Do not apply much pressure as this may make you feel uncomfortable.

The scrubbing should take 20-25 minutes. Wear a bath robe and relax for 10 minutes after the scrubbing. In order to remove the scrub, one may use towels wringed in warm water. You may sip ice water or drink something warm. Change into another pair of disposable underwear and bra. Remove the uppermost plastic sheet.

Apply the body wrap mixture. You may prepare this at home. Otherwise, ready to use mixtures are available. All one needs to do is mix in warm water, prepare a paste and apply all over the body. Wrap the body in plastic and cover it will blanket.

Remain in this position for 45 minutes to an hour. It is important to keep temperature of the room warm enough to benefit from the wrap. Keep drinking herbal decoctions. Do not consume caffeine or alcohol for 2-3 days after this process.
