Body Baths
Body baths are a great way to stimulate release of toxins from the body, get rid of cellulite and beautify the skin. Here is a peep into how you can make your weekly baths special.
Oil Bath
Oil bath has an ancient history attached to it. The oils chosen for oil bath are said to get easily absorbed into the skin and provide much needed moisture to it.
The oils are rich in vitamins and minerals which help in healing and rejuvenation of the skin. Coconut oil, virgin olive oil, sesame seed oil, mustard seed oil and sweet almonds oils are most effective oils in this regard.
The oil is warmed to a temperature that body can bear. Apply the oil in liberal quantities on the body. Use gentle strokes to massage the oil into the body. Sit in a warm environment where your body can feel the heat.
A little perspiration is normal and beneficial. Wait for an hour and take bath with lukewarm water. Use paste of fuller`s earth to wash off the oil. Oil bath can be taken once in a week.
But in summers it can be taken once in a month. Use oils as per the season. Coconut and olive oil can be used in any season. Sweet almonds oil and sesame seed oil should be used in winters.
Those suffering from acne should not take oil bath. Instead, they should apply body packs using cooling ingredients like cucumber, potato or fuller`s earth to smoothen the zits. Oil baths are helpful in reducing problem of frequent headaches.
Milk Bath
Milk bath is a great way to maintain a youthful skin. Milk has enzymes which make the skin firm. Those with extra dry skin should add milk cream to the milk in the ratio 2:1. Apply the mixture all over the body and water for 20 minutes. Take bath with fresh water.
Bubble Bath
Preparing a bubble bath can be little tricky, especially for the first timers. Market is flooded with bubble bath kits. The effervescent ingredient should be added while the tub is getting filled with hot water.
This is done to make sure the salt dissolves well. Add few drops of aromatic essential oils right before you are about to enter the tub. Enter, relax and enjoy.
