Best Tan Removal Remedies and Tips
Tan is not just a beauty problem. The skin must be protected from the sun in order to prevent rashes, sunburns and skin cancer. Kitchen contains most of the ingredients you will need removing tan.The classic remedy for tan removal is mixture of lemon juice and honey. Take equal amounts of lemon juice and honey. Apply on the tanned skin. Scrub the area using the inner skin of the lemons for 10 minutes. Wait for 20 to 30 minutes then wash with cold water. This remedy should not be used in case of any skin eruption or rashes.
Lemon is a natural bleaching agent and it can be used with potato juice and aloe vera pulp to remove sun tan. Apply cold milk of cow directly to the skin. Mix with few drops of honey if your skin is dry.
You can also prepare a paste of milk with wheat gram and keep for 20 minutes before rinsing with cold water.
For night, mix few drops of sweet almond oil and lemon juice and dab on your face with cotton. Leave overnight.
Grind rice to make fine powder. Mix homemade yogurt to make a smooth paste. Apply on the tanned area. Keep for 30 minutes then wash with water. It is especially good for people with oily skin. Those with dry skin may add few drops of clarified butter. The paste will not dry.
Bananas are great for removing tan due to its high antioxidant content. Mash a ripe banana and mix with sour curd. Apply on the face or on the entire body. Additionally, it makes skin soft and keeps it cool.
Role of Diet
Those who consume high amounts of vitamin C, A, E and minerals like zinc and selenium are found to have lesser tendency to get tanned. Foods such as raspberries, blueberries, cherries and oranges fight against UV rays.
If your diet is unable to meet the skin requirement then take supplements after consulting with the dermatologists.
Keep yourself hydrated and drink plenty of vegetable juices and mineral water.
Prevention
Always wear good quality sunscreen before stepping out of the house. Wrong choice of SPF will not just be useless but it may aggravate tanning of the skin. Avoid going out in sun during peak hours of brightness.
