All of you must have heard and read that drinking alcohol is dangerous for our health as it can cause a number of disorders. Well that might be true but only if a person commits to excessive alcohol consumption. If proper care is taken and alcohol is consumed in moderate quantity, it can actually help you in staying fit. Yes, there are many benefits of drinking alcohol, which I will discuss in this article.

Alcohol is manufactured after being subjected to fermentation and this means that there are some bacteria which can help in fighting some health disorders. One very important benefit of alcohol is that it reduces the risk of developing heart diseases and aptly controls them. If a person is already suffering from heart diseases and still consumes alcohol, it reduces the risk of dying due to a heart attack. Though alcohol is strictly banned for people suffering from any kind of heart ailments, but if the ailment is minor and the patient keeps a check on his alcohol intake, he can surely safeguard himself from dying of a heart attack.

Moderate consumption of alcohol also reduces the overall risk of strokes, especially ischemic stroke. Common problems like hypertension and the associated stress can also be reduced to a considerable extent by consuming alcohol. It does not matter which form of alcohol you consume. Whether it is beer or wine or whisky is not that important and does not matter a lot considering the overall benefits. What really matters is the quantity that you are consuming. Heavy intake will definitely lead to complex disorders and may damage the health of an individual, but if alcohol is consumed within proper limits, it can prove to be a boon for health!
