June 18, 2009

Bathing has been a traditional way to beautify oneself. There are many types of baths to choose from.  Each has its own beautifying characteristics but all help in skin detoxification and leave skin with an improved blood circulation. So, which ever bath you may choose, it will leave your skin glowing.

Mud bath is a mixture of hot spring water with volcanic ash. They have been used since centuries and are available in leading spas across the globe. To the mud, Canadian peat is often added. This type of bath performs deep skin cleansing. The ionic minerals present in the ash help in repairing of the skin. A hot tub bath can be arranged at the comfort of your home. It is used for hydrotherapy, soaking, relaxation and massaging. It opens skin pores and helps the skin breath.

A hot spring bath can be taken at a geographical area where the ground water is heated from the crust of the Earth. Hot springs are source of many minerals since the warm water is able to hold more dissolved nutrients. They contain calcium, radium, lithium all in ionic form. Ionic form is the most absorbable form of minerals. Apart from proving skin beauty remedies, hot spring baths are also used in rehabilitation therapies.

Sauna bath is well known for its slimming properties. It can be a social event of a small group of friends. The temperature is well over 80 degree C. It relaxes the mind and the body, and helps in weight loss through sweating. Apart from regular sauna, therapeutic sauna is also available which has many medical advantages.

Stream Sauna operates between 43 degree C and 46 degree C. The humidity in the area of steam bath is above 100 percent. It is good for those who seek relaxation without sweating. Steam bath needs to have a good operating system which provides constant steam to the chamber.
