Beautiful Nails
Well kept nails enhance appearance of hands. But beautiful nails do not grow overnight. Common problems faced by nail growers include chipping of nails, keeping them clean, making them soft and above all…making them strong so they do not break easily.
Getting over the Biting Part
The first step to grow beautiful nails is to stop biting them. Nails will grow faster if the diet consumed is rich in proteins since nails are made up of protein keratin. In order to get over the habit of biting nails rub tip of the nails with flesh of green chilly. Remember not to touch eyes or nostrils with the fingers after rubbing the flesh of the chilly.
Another method is to put on a color on the nails that you strongly dislike. This will help you keep fingers away from the mouth.
Keeping them Clean
The nails need to be kept clean but activities like gardening and cooking tend to put the nails in much jeopardy. Before gardening scratch on to bath soap such that the nails get filled with soap particles. This will prevent entry of mud into the nails which is tougher to remove. Once done with the activity remove the soap particles using small knife (or nail dirt remover).
Special cooking gloves are available in market. Choose the one which fits you well. The gloves can be worn while working in the kitchen. These will prevent nails from breaking while doing the tasks.
Keeping them Soft
It is important to keep the nails moisturized otherwise they will become brittle. Brittle nails are not just difficult to file but they do not carry nail polish well. Keep a small hand lotion in your bag always. Whenever hands are washed, apply a small quantity of moisture.
Before going to sleep apply a few drops of baby oil to your hands and fingers. This simple remedy will add shine to the nails and help them grow faster.
Applying the Nail Paint
Application of nail paint requires patience. Remove the existing nail paint completely (if wearing). Apply a very thin coat of nail polish to each finger. Wait until it dries completely. Apply second coat to bring out prominent shade of the paint.
