PMS has the power to turn your life upside down. It will not hit you suddenly like a fever or cold. It will develop over a period of time without you being aware about it. Just when you observe how difficult a person you have become with mood swings, irritated nature, crying without justified reason; get yourself checked, may be it is PMS ( Pre-menstural Symptoms). It is prevalent in sensitive women.
PMS has over more than 200 symptoms and until now, many physicians did not take it seriously. It is more like a condition than a disease. And this is where the seriousness of this hormonal imbalance is taken for granted.
Most common symptoms of PMS is frequent bleeding, weight gain, inability for the body to cope up with stress, anxiety, increases emotional sensitivity, occurrence of hair on unwanted regions. Stomach cramps, breast tenderness and tenderness of the ovaries also occur.
You must share with your close friends and family about your condition so that this problem does not effect your relations. Tell them what you are going through. Most importantly, accept yourself. You will need to cut down intake of caffeine, alcohol, sugar and salt.
These ingredients aggravate symptoms of PMS multifold. The initial treatment will involve consumption of contraceptive pills for regulation of periods. Once periods are stabilized, daily supplementation of vitamin E and C are done.
Although deficiencies are not cause of PMS but this may worsen PMS symptoms. Also, vitamin E, Omega-3 fatty acids and Vitamin C helps in rejuvenation of body systems. They are powerful antioxidants for the body.You will need to take care of yourself but having a healthy life style. This includes eating right and exercising.
Exercises should not be strenuous. You must not do anything that will stress your body or mind. Long walks and light exercises are part of treatment. Above all, have a positive approach towards life and avoid negative influences.
