Alcohol De-Addiction

Alcohol addiction is curable but the fear of alcohol withdrawal symptoms of those who are addicted is scary. This is due to this reason that it takes immense input to recover from alcohol addiction. A lot of emotional and motivational support is required along with every day inspiration to maintain the determination to quit. Rest is the work of the drugs.

Alcoholic withdrawal usually occurs with adults but the rate is rising in children and teenagers. If someone is using excessive alcohol and quits it instants experiences this problem. For example, drinking two to six pints of beer every day with full week such that it is causing problem in the routine life of a person is said to suffer from alcohol withdrawal symptoms.

It is a very simple concept. The more habitual a person is of alcohol, he will experience more vigorous withdrawal symptoms when it tries to leave. The problem become additive if there are other medical problems of the person. The various symptoms vary from mild-moderate psychological symptoms to Mild-moderate physical symptoms and severe symptoms. These are detailed further.

Mild-moderate psychological symptoms include fatigue, bad dreams, depression, rapid emotional changes, easy excitability, shakiness, anxiety and nervousness. The mild to moderate physical symptoms include rapid heart rate, tremor, clammy skin, tremors of hand, and loss of appetite, Pulsating headache, sweating of hands and face, insomnia, pallor, abnormal, and involuntary moments of eyes.

The severe symptoms include agitation, black outs (just as person forgets while being drunk), Fever, Delirium tremens (a state of visual hallucination and confusion) and convulsions. After these symptoms the health care provider would check the person for results to these tests. The tests include that for liver failure, dehydration, internal bleeding, abnormal heart rhythms, general body shaking, elevated temperature and abnormal eye movements.

Certain blood results are also performed. The treatment of this condition comprise of combination therapy that includes behaviour therapy, medications, alchoholic anonymous. This is basically called as the  Rehabilitation. Check today online nearest support groups for help.

    Actually the problem is, the person goes to drink for first time or at regular interval think that he is a social drinker and drinks occassionally. They themselves don’t know when they cross of the line of being a social drinker to thrown into the vicious circle of alcohol addiction.
