7 Rules For Youthful Skin

Use of the right cosmetics is not the only thing the skin needs. It needs much more. Thus, the assumption that the regime of cleansing, toning and moisturizing would suffice the skin is wrong.Rule 1

Give up smoking. Tobacco is number one poison for the skin. It not just reduces production of collagen that drastically affects the elasticity of the skin but also constricts the capillaries. Since the capillaries become narrow the body is unable to receive optimal amount of nutrients and oxygen.

Smoking fastens process of ageing. Fine lines are visible commonly in both men and women who smoke.

Rule 2

There is no replacement for water. Water is a natural neutralizer. 75 per cent of our body is made up of water. Lack of water in the body will make the skin appear dry and dull. Do not under-estimate the power of this simple drink.

It can detoxify the body daily, improve digestion and improve elasticity of the skin.

Rule 3

Check the food choices made on daily basis. Instead of saturated fats consume unsaturated fats. Change the cooking oil. Instead of snaking on trash food consume nuts like almonds, raisins and walnuts. Consume one small serving of fruits and raw vegetables every day to ensure supply of vitamins and minerals to the body.

Rule 4

Sleep enough. An ideal of 6 to 8 hours of sleep is more than necessary. It is the time when body can repair itself. If you are having trouble in sleeping then try taking a bath just before going to sleep.

Rule 5

Exercise regularly. After a steamy session of work out when you will dab your body with towel you will see a little glow on the surface. Regular exercise is a great way to add luster to the skin.

Rule 6

Take necessary supplementation. Most of the skin problems are due to deficiency of one or more vitamins or minerals. Zinc, selenium, silica, vitamin A, E, D and C is known as the skin nutrients. Check with the health care provider before starting with supplementation.

Rule 7

Always carry a moisturizer and apply as and when needed. Even if you have oily skin then also moisturizer needs to be applied daily.
