Rosacea is a skin inflammation which causes the skin to become red and inflamed and fill with small bumps full of pus. They look like sunburnt skin and cause great itching and irritation on the skin.

Rosacea is unfortunately not a curable condition and with time, the symptoms could worsen or lessen with fewer attacks depending on your immunity power.

Rosacea symptoms mostly appear on the face and this condition mostly triggers acne formation as well causing a lot of scars on the facial skin. Rosacea can be treated with a variety of natural methods.

The results are very encouraging for the patients in most cases, the symptoms are so well controlled that they do not appear for several months. Below are some of the best treatment methods for rosacea affected skin.

1. Flax Seeds

Flax seeds are anti inflammatory in nature and hence a great way to treat rosacea affected skin. Take a tablespoon of flax seeds every day to keep all inflammations under check.

Chew the seeds well to get the benefit of omega 3 fatty acids which help the body stay away from free radical damage as well. If taken in the oil form, one teaspoon of flax seed oil is ideal for treating the condition.

2. Grape Seed Extracts

Grape seed extract is also known to be a great remedy for treating rosacea and preventing inflammation on the skin surface. Grape seed extract can be consumed in quantities of 50 mg every day to keep all kinds of bacterial and fungal infections at bay. You may also mix flax seed oil and grape fruit seed extract to get a stronger effect on rosacea affected skin.

3. Cleansing with Oil

Acne on rosacea affected skin can be very distressing for the patient. When such a condition occurs, an oil cleansing comes of great use. For oil cleansing, mix one part castor oil and two part olive oil.

Massage into the skin. Massage for at least 15 minutes. Now take some hot water in a bowl. Soak a cotton towel inside and wring it gently. Apply on the skin that you have massaged. Hold the towel on the skin until the heat goes away.

This procedure will open up the clogged pores. Now wipe the skin with the towel. This will remove the dirt along with the oil that has entered the pores.

This can be repeated couple of times until you are sure that all the oil and dirt is removed from the skin. This can be repeated whenever you feel that the pores are clogged in order to prevent acne formations. Ideally, repeat 3 times a week.

4. Apple Cider Vinegar

Retaining the PH balance of the skin is very important when you have rosacea. Rosacea can appear when the skin loses its oil balance. For treating skin that is very oily which causes rosacea and acne outbreaks, apple cider vinegar can be used.

Take undiluted apple cider vinegar and apply on the skin. Leave it for some time and wipe off. For sensitive skin, dilute apple cider vinegar with water and use it.
